Highlights of the Open Mic
38th Gathering
•
1h 22m
FEATURING: Floyd Beard, John Doran, Meghan Doran, Sariah Knight, Larry Maurice, Philip Page.
For the second year, the G Three stage hosts a handful of poets and musicians who have graced the open mic stages during the week. Selected by audience feedback, these wordslingers and tunesmiths--amateur and professional alike--speak (and sing) to the spirit of the Gathering. They demonstrate the value of participation, the vitality of tradition, and the sheer delight of self-expression. Drawing from their connection to life, land and the lot of you, the evening's performers lend credence to a Gathering credo: the voices in your midst can both entertain and enlighten ... lend an ear!
Hosted by Floyd Beard, Denise Withnell.
From the 38th National Cowboy Poetry Gathering.
