The Munsick Boys share a song written in 1993 by patriarch Dave Munsick. They perform "Daddy Would Play" during the "Ranch Truck Radio" show at the 38th National Cowboy Poetry Gathering.
ABOUT THE ARTISTS
The Munsick Boys
Dayton, WY
The Munsick Boys (Dave, Sam, and Tris) have a natural appeal to enthusiasts of western culture. Hailing from northern Wyoming, they have ranched and made music together for most of their lives. They participate in horsemanship clinics, help out at local brandings, and day work on neighboring ranches. Their unique sound, a cross between sagebrush country and open-sky folk, is drawn from the people and places they've gotten to know as they have worked and played around the West. They have opened for icons such as Ian Tyson and Lyle Lovett, grown a popular fan base on internet radio, and headlined music festivals in the US and Europe. They've also won honors that include the AWA Will James Best Country Band Award.
