ABOUT THE ARTISTS
Gary Haleamau & Kāwili
Las Vegas, NV
Gary Kawiliau Haleamau of Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, began his musical career at age 12; first as a solo artist then traveling with Hawaiian music groups throughout the world sharing his amazing talent. Sheldeen Kaleimomi Haleamau of Hanapēpē, Kauaʻi, began her hula career at a young age and has also traveled the world sharing her gift of hula. Kurin Pomaika’imaikeakua Haleamau of Las Vegas, Nevada, is the son of Gary and Sheldeen. Kurin has excelled in his musical career as an accomplished record producer, slack-key-bass guitarist and singer. Collectively, as Kāwili they blend and share their love for Hawaiian music and dance, influenced by their Hawaiian cowboy paniolo background. In 2019, they released their first family recording, Pilipaʻa.
