This song cycle spans 150 years beginning with the settlement of the Virgin River Valley by Mormon pioneers in the 19th century, to the founding of Zion National Park in the 20th century, to modern times when artists and urban refugees come to find their own piece of paradise. Performed on a lively assortment of folk and classical instruments, ten new songs are interwoven with the words of local residents whose stories inspired Phillip Bimstein to compose Red Rock Rondo.
