ABOUT THE ARTIST
Floyd Beard
Kim, CO
Floyd Beard is a livestock producer who traces a ranching heritage back five generations on one side of his family, and six on the other. He grew up around Roy and Mills in rural northeastern New Mexico and graduated from high school in Hotchkiss, in western Colorado. Floyd has been a cowboy most of his life, working on his own ranch operation in southeastern Colorado as well as earning wages as a ranch manager. He and his wife, Valerie, run a crossbreed operation producing high-quality beef for people to eat. His third and newest CD of cowboy poetry is titled "Horse Tales and Cow Trails."
